April Chillari, Owner/Certified Trainer

My name is April and I am the owner and operator of Core Canine. I obtained my dog training certification through Animal Behavior College. My love of dogs brought me to volunteer with rescues and shelters. I realized, through these volunteer efforts, that behavior is the #1 reason owners surrender their dogs. I decided the best way to prevent dogs from being surrendered was to become a trainer myself.

I work with dogs of all ages on fundamental obedience and behavior issues, helping them to be better members of their families. I've worked with dogs from shelters and rescues and with purebred dogs from breeders. I am passionate about dog training and believe that every dog deserves to reach their full potential.

I believe that owning a dog is an amazing and rewarding experience, but also a responsibility, not a luxury. Training your dog properly will lead you to a greater understanding of the animal, and I firmly believe in the owner-pet relationship being one of mutual understanding and respect. I immerse you fully in the training process, and with this approach, I find that owners end up learning as much, if not more, than their pets. My goal is to work with you and your dog, every step of the way, to find the best possible solutions in creating a solid relationship between you and your furry best friend.

Olivia Jacquemin, CPDT-KA

Hi, I’m Olivia! I’ve been training dogs professionally for almost seven years now, and as a hobby since childhood. I’ve trained all different species of animals using the training style we’ll teach you here at Core Canine, including chickens, horses, donkeys, chinchillas, and cats. My goal is always to give you the skills, tools, and knowledge to help YOU become your dog’s trainer, and empower you to take training into your own hands. I strive to be realistic and practical when helping you solve behavioral issues, and tailor your training plan to what works best for YOU, your dog, your home, and your family. I’m here to set you and your dog up for success, and help you achieve your goals! I want you to have the best life possible with your best friend.

I’ve had a lifelong passion for animals, especially dogs, for as long as I can remember. I grew up reading dog-breed and animal encyclopedias for fun, and have owned and loved a huge variety of animals over my life. I grew up riding horses as well, and showed hunter-jumper for many years. These days I share my home with my two dogs- Ari, my 6 year old Dalmatian who has her CGC, CGCU, and ATD; Tink, my 2.5 year old siberian husky/miniature american shepherd mix; my two cats- Evie, 8 years old; Callie, 8-9 years old; and my snake, a Western Hognose named Hemi. I love them dearly and have a blast training them and living with them.

I have received certification from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, aka the CCPDT. In particular I have been certified as a CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer- Knowledge Assessed) since 2020.

Thanks for getting to know me and my pets, and I hope to see you soon!
